I ran across a site called Worklifebalance.com, and, a couple of things in the section called Work-Life Balance Defined - What it really means! caught my eye.

First, I have to note the fact that not only is he is a fountain diet soda drinker, the author likes certain places for their fountain diet sodas:

My caffeine source is diet cola. But I’m a somewhat fussy diet cola drinker. I don’t like cans or bottles, I like fountain. And there is a big difference in fountain drinks. So I know all the best fountains within a five-mile radius of my house and office.

I guess that’s really neither here nor there, but, I like to point out when I’ve found someone who is “my people”.

Additionally, the idea of both achievement and enjoyment being central to effective work-life balance (even though I say there is no balance, only “fit”) got my attention:

You cannot get the full value from life without BOTH Achievement and Enjoyment. Focusing on Achievement and Enjoyment every day in life helps you avoid the “As Soon As Trap”, the life dulling habit of planning on getting around to the joys of life and accomplishment “as soon as….”

I am the queen of, “I’ll get around to it later” when it comes to doing things I want to do, or, things that are enjoyable.

Not so coincidentally, these are also the times where I feel like things are out of balance for me.
