It’s less than a week away until this election thingy officially kicks off with the Iowa caucuses on January 3rd. It’s amazing that a woman finally has a great chance to be president of this country (the US has not been a pioneer with this by any stretch). And at the same time it’s amazing how little change this would bring to our political landscape. If she wins the democratic primary and then goes on to be elected president, this would make Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton with Ronald Reagan being the last non-Bush/Clinton to lead the USA in world domination.
It’s phenomenal that in a democratic country with over 300 million people that something like this could happen. Will she better than President Num Nuts? Of course, but so would a reeces monkey because the monkey would not be capable of doing the destruction Bush has done (unless of course you count throwing feces on the walls of the oval office).
For Christmas, a friend gave me a calendar to count down the last year of Bush’s disgraceful presidency. And while I’m ecstatic that this nonsense will finally end soon, how excited can I be if we continue with not just a two party system, but a two family system?
