She ,only 19 years old, got married that year. Later she had a baby and the next year another son was born. But unfortunately, both her sons had congenital cataract. Living in the dark world, the kids couldn’t see anything. She sold what she could in her house for her children’s treatment without any good news. Then she sent the kids to a primary school nearest their home. One day after school, she saw her sons running out of school, crying ------no kids wanted to play with them because they were blind. She took them in her arms, crying bitterly, too. When the other children went to junior schools, the two creatures with poor eyesight, who had a lot of difficulty in learning, remained at the primary school. That year the older son was 13 and the younger was 12.  She decided to teach them by herself at home. In the following five years, the two boys learned very hard at home, making progress day by day. Finally, to the mother’s pride, they were admitted by a high school with wonderful results. On the day when her sons got the letters of admission, she didn’t take them to the new school, instead she went to a hospital with them. She earnestly wanted to know whether and when her sons could get cornea transplantation. Early the next morning, her husband was waken up by the two sons’ sad yelling------just two hours before, his wife had died. The two blind children’s mother, only 37 years old, ended her own life with a silk ribbon. On the table, there were the two admission notices and a piece of paper, on which the mother wrote her last words: after her death, she would give her own corneas to her sons respectively. This is a true story which happened on March 18, 2006 in India. The great mother was Tamisavy. The doctors made great efforts and succeeded in doing the operation of cornea transplantation on the two boys.  Today the two young men have got eyesight with their mother’s corneas as well as their mother’s love.

In 1952, the United Nations Army got defeated again and again by the Army of korea in many fierce fightings. When retreating, Welson was lost and he was farther and farther away from his army. Just at that time, he heard a baby’s crying, which came out of a snow hole. By instinct, he quickly flicked the snow, then he was shocked at the sight! There, in the snow, he saw a baby in its mother’s arms crying. What astonished him most was that the mother had nothing on! In fact, when the frightened woman tried to take refuge with her baby, they were trapped here. It was freezing cold with heavy snow. To keep the baby warm, the mother took off all her clothes to wrap it and she held her baby firmly on her chest. The child was safe and alive while the mother was nude and frozen------she was stiff, black and blue all over. Deeply moved, Welson dug a pit with his only weapon and buried the woman in the frost-bound earth. Soon he picked up the baby and made his way to look for his army. After the war, Welson adopted the child and brought him up in America. When the child grew up, Welson told him the whole story and took him to the place------the ravine where his dear mother had died and been buried.
