来自加拿大著名的调研机构IDC公司最近的一份调查研究报告显示，2008年第一季度，在北美智能手机领域销量最多的公司并不是拥有iPhone的苹果，而是掌握着BlackBerry黑莓的Research In Motion（RIM）。报告指出，RIM公司在2008年第一季度的智能手机市场占有率（北美地区）为44.5%，比2007年最后一个季度增长了将近十个百分点。
在第二名和第三名方面，苹果公司显然因为产品线单一有些力不从心了，2008年第一季度的智能手机市场占有率较之2007年最高一个季度下降了7.5个百分点，只达到了19.2%，屈居第二名。Palm则拜旗下最成功的机型之一Palm Centro稳居北美地区2008年第一季度智能手机市场份额的第三名。
在最期待的手机方面，RIM也占了绝对的优势，许多北美地区的消费者最想又有的已经不是苹果iPhone了，显然，iPhone在他们心中的地位已经被今年5月份正式发布的黑莓9000手机以及未来将要发布的黑莓9500 Thunder所取代了。

在Apple iPhone 3G准备发布的时候来这样的新闻，可不是什么好兆头呢，不过也说明了RIM在美国的强大，不过在前三却看不到在中国独占鳌头的诺基亚，因为在美国，诺基亚可能连前五的位置也够不着，没办法，因为诺基亚的QWERTY机器还真的太少呢。

About second and third one.apple,because of the singularity product,show a little inability.the market occupancy of apple decent almost 7.5% in the the first quarter in 2008 from 2007,only achieve 19.2%,at the second place.Palm Centro got the third place depends on the steady appropriation rate of market share of smartphone in the first quarter in 2008 ，which made by Palm company。
