Talk about having to choose between a rock and a hard place. This wooden sandal created by designer Yarel Yair is perhaps one of the most dangerous pieces of footwear I have ever seen. Sure it uses all natural materials and looks, well, quite a museum piece. But would I ever wanna have these on my feet when I have to rush down a flight of stairs to catch the subway or if I have to quickly cross the road to avoid being seen by my pesky neighbor? The answer is, not unless I’m too drunk or too stoned to take responsibility for my decisions! I mean the shoe is an open invitation to a cracked skull and semi-serious concussion for crying out loud. It doesn’t come with a statuary warning, it should, but I recommend you consider wearing this shoe only if you have some serious experience of working in the circus behind you.
