Teabird, over at Tea Reads asks a simple question. What is your favorite book that noone has heard of? I had to really think about this one, so I went and made a cup of Adiago Foxtrot (when my daughter moved in with her family she brought ALL her tea..JOY!) and thought some more. My favorite books tend to be ones that other people have read too,
- Anne of Green Gables
- Little House
- Mitford series
- Narnia
- Hobbit
You get the idea. And since I have been homeschooling AND blogging AND homesteading I really don’t read as much as I would like…still, the question is haunting. I like kids books the best, by the way. I dislike most of the components that go into creating a popular adult book these days, so while I can;t decide between two titles, I will say that they re both children’s books.
The first is historical fiction called By Wagon and Flatboat. Out of print, I found it though a search that took two weeks on Amazon several years ago. I had read it as a kid and remembered it nearly word for word, as my children do now. It is the story of a early 1800s move to Ohio.
The next is The Family Under Bridge. The story of a homeless, fatherless family in Paris and the gruff old man that befriends them. I love it. Be sure to eat crepes while reading it. I don’t know why, it just works.
So, what obscure books do you read? And which tea or coffee goes with them best?

我泡了一杯Adiago Foxtort(我的女儿携家搬到我这里时,把她所有的茶都带来了,真是大快人心),又好好的想了想。
