It was Mariah Carey night on ‘American Idol’ and David Cook gave the best performance by far singing ‘Always Be My Baby.’ You can see the video below.
It was another ho hum night on ‘American Idol’ but David Cook brought the house down. After last weeks dismal performance, Cook brought his A game and the judges agreed.
Randy said, “You are ready to make an album. You’re a hot recording artist…I’ve never stood up yet this season. (Randy stands up and claps) That was the most brilliant performance yet.”
Paula said, “Wow, that was pretty awesome. That song could be in a movie soundtrack right now. And who knows, maybe it just will. You’re it. You got the whole package.”
Simon said, “It was like sorta coming out of karoke hell into a breath of fresh air. It was original. It was daring. It stood out by a mile, and this is the sign of a great potential artist.”
Even though the guy annoys me sometimes, it really was a great rendition of the song. See the video of David below.
