Unexpectations in Life
Contigency always occurs in life, so does the opportunities.
At the age of 16, she was a very ordinary girl below average in studies, and she always hanged out with some other girls who had already found jobs in society. She was in her second year in secondary school and had no idea about her own future.
Once before a mid-term exam, one of her good friends pulled her aside and told her secretly:"A good news for you. I've got the paper of this exam."
It was because that the other school had already taken the exam, and someone told her that they will use the same paper.
It was a maths paper, and she had already recited almost the whole paper. She could only get about 30 by her real ability, but she ranked the first in her class that time. While her friend just recite part of the paper and got only about 70. There were much more things beyond her expectation. Everyone doubted that she had cheated in the exam. But what they can't understand was that even with cheating, how could she got 98. The only one who praised her job was her teacher, who also encouraged her and said that she had made great progress and was bound to have better marks next time. At that time, she was so moved that she almost had her tears dropped. That the teacher believed her was beyond her expectation, and the admirance from her classmates brought her the enjoyment and excitement that she had never experienced. She realized that how proud she could be being a good student.
Since then, in order to prove that she didn't cheat in the exam and not to disappoint the teacher, she started to study wildy and found the great fun from it. Shortly, she really became the top 1 student in her class. One year later, she entered a modle high school. She entered Peking University three years after that.
If without the stolen paper which totally changed her life, she would like many other girls from the countryside who went to other places for odd jobs after graduation. The girl who got 70+ became a waitress at last, while she went to the USA for furher study several years later.
It was that unexpected opportunity that changed everything, and she grasped that opportunity. While the other girl failed to do so. As a result, everything became different between them. Dozen of years later, when she came back to her school to give a speech, she told them her story. And at that time, her maths teacher whose hair was already turned white told her the truth:" I know you did cheat in the exam, for I know you can't get 98 with your ability. But I did think that maybe it could become the motivation and push you to go on, so I gave you encouragement and trust instead.
At that minute, she can't control her dropping tears. It was the one who knew her most gave her the encouragement instead of treating her as a thief at the turning point of her life that made her life totally different.
There was another unexpectation which moved others.
There was a person, who was not only lazy but also had the bad habit of stealing. Everyone hated him, for he never returned the money he borrowed from others, instead, he used the on gambling. As a result, almost no one around him would lend money to him any more, and he even hadn't enough money to run a small business. Therefore, he went to one of his relative's to borrow some money. That was the first time he borrowed money from her, taking it for granted that she hadn't know his bad deeds.
He successfully got the money, and when he was about to turn round and leave, she stopped him and said:" Many people had called me not to lend you the money because they said you wouldn't return the money, but I believe you are not the person of that kind, and they may have some misunderstandings toward you."
Before he was told these words, he planned to use the money on gambling and to enjoy if he won, borrowing money again if he lost. But this word did startled him greatly. He kept silent, closed the door and left. Later, he left his hometown and went to Shenzhen.
Half a year later, his relatiive recieved the 1000 yuan sent by him from Shenzhen. 3 years later, he came back home from Shenzhen in his own car, and returned up all the money he owed.
It was since that time he borrowed the money that he came to realize that he had to live a different life. He had to make others trust him, and never wanted to be a cheater any longer. The trust from his relative made his life turn over a new page.
As a matter of fact, there are many unexpectations in one's life, as well as many opportunities for restarting. Never to give up any single chance given by God at random, and maybe your life will be changed by an "accident".
