Google将于2007年5月31日在全球包括美国、中国、日本、英法德等10个国家举行开发者日活动，活动的序幕将从悉尼拉开，历经27个小时之后，在Google总部山景城落幕。本次开发者日活动的主题是：为你的网站添砖加瓦，Google这样阐述本次活动的意义：
我们思考的是如何让网络变得更好，而且我们相信这也是你的目标。你不用等待未来，因为你每天已经在为了下一代的网络应用在工作了，这就是我们为什么讲解Google的API和各种工具，希望可以帮助提升您的产品的效率，更好地和Google结合，惠泽千百万的用户。
中国首次加入Google全球“开发者日”活动，除了全球共有关于开发者与Google（谷歌）现有产品的整合扩展内容外，中国还将增加关于Linux和开源的专门话题。
Google中国区总裁李开复针对“开发者日”表示："Google（谷歌）中国要有长期的发展，要给Google（谷歌）的中国用户们带来惊喜，不但需要Google（谷歌）中国工程师们的努力，更要仰仗中国杰出的开发者们。我们欢迎技术精英能在Google（谷歌）开放的平台上，利用Google API和其它开发工具为中国互联网带来创新，让中国用户享受到更先进的产品和应用。"
日程安排方面，“开发者日”北京部分将会从5月31日8点半开始在北京新世纪日航饭店举行，全天将进行Google GeoAPI、高峰论坛A、 Google Gadgets API、 Google Web Toolkit等方面的讲演，讲演人员都是来自中国或美国此方面有技术的专家。如果你对此感兴趣，可以在这里报名注册。

Google Developer Day
Google is going to celebrate the event of Developer Day on May 31st, 2007 in ten countries including America, China, Japan, Britain, France, and Germany, etc. The proceedings will begin in Sydney, and end 27 hours later in Mountain View where Google is headquartered.
Focusing on the theme "Building Blocks for Better Web Applications", Google demonstrate the purpose of this event as follows:
At Google, we want to help developers build better web applications, which we believe is also your objective. You do not need to wait for tomorrow, because you are working at the web application for the next generation. That's why we’ve created APIs and tools to quickly enhance those applications, integrate with Google products and reach millions of users.
This is the first time that China has participated in Google's Developer Day. Apart from the common content shared among the other regions on that day, special topics on Linux and Open Source will be added in China. Dr. Kaifu Lee, President of Google China said, Google China is expecting long-term development and surprise to the Chinese users; we need the great efforts from both the engineers and the developers. We welcome all the innovations to China internet on the open platform of Google with the Google API and other tools, use on the open platform to innovate for the internet in China, which can let the Chinese user enjoy more advanced products and applications.
In Beijing, the event will be held at the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing from 8:00 May 31st, and there will be speeches about Google GeoAPI, Panel discussion A, Google Gadgets API, Google Web Toolkit, etc., with the speakers from China or America who are experts in these fields.
