Visit the "Neverland" of Michael Jackson at night
"Neverland", one of the most luxurious palaces in the United States which occupies a place of 2800 acre was purchased in 1987 at a price of 113 million pounds by Micheal Jackson, the American singer who at that time reached the acme of his career.
Michael Jackson named it after the fancy island in <Peter Pan>. It used to be a flourishing place with music and dance everywhere, children froliced and entertained, singing heartily. According to estimates, the maintenance costs of Neverland was as high as 2 million pounds, and in its heyday there were 54 full-time workers maintaining it. Later, because the payment of wages fell behind, lots of workers left their jobs, and Neverland was taken over by about 6 persons who were Jackson's intimate friends or relatives.
July, 2005, after Jackson was acquitted of the obscenity case to a little boy, he abandoned Neverland and fled to Bahirain, Persian Gulf. In Santa Barbara, local government issued a command to close Neverland, because Jackson could not pay off the wages or insurance premium of his workers. Hence Neverland became a desert. Neverland used to be famous for its animals inside, elephant, giraffe, lion, monkey, from soup to nuts. But now these animals, which were imported from abroad, have been rambling elsewhere. Jackson's pet monkey "Bubble" has been sent to animal shelter, and his horse, to children riding school. All of them seems to be sadly setting off their owner, Jackson's career, of which days are numbered.
