We are the volunteers participating the aid work in Shifang, which is also one of the worst-hit areas. The houses in severl mountainous towns of the city were almost destoried. On the square of the downtown Shifang, there are many tents where hundreds of victims live temporarily. The outside is desolate. Several boys smiled to me when they saw I was taking photos. After that, I suddenly found that there was a little girl washing clothes in the right of the photo...

I walked close to her slightly. It's hot with the temperature at least 35℃. She was washing clothes tranquilly besides the tap on the road.

I walked to her and said" Little girl..."

She just glanced at me and continued washing her clothes. The weather was so hot that her face was full of sweat...

I quietly looked at her. After her finish, I walked to her and gave her a tin of drinking from my bag politely. But she said she had fruits. I found they were some plum.

I talked with her. She seemed to be tired with one hand supporting her waist and looked at the distance maturely," I am from Hongbai Town(a town in the mountain). I was in the kindergarden when the earthquake happened. I crawled out of the ruin by myself. Many friends with me were dead... My parents were both dead. I am here with my aunt. I have no home now."

I contuinuelly talked with her. She told me that her name was Wen Wen and she was four-year-old now.

I was shocked by her mature like an adult. I said "Say goodbye to me" She just quitely said "Bye" and then drank the drinking. She was an orphan now. We have seen a lot of tears. But this four-year-old child's resoluteness made me surprised. The most strong quality of human being is endurance. Wen Wen, allow me call you like this. Although your acts are ordinary, what I should learn to you is resoluteness!
