Today is Friday and that means it’s Freaky Friday. If you need to know more about this journal writing challenge please read the First Freaky Friday entry.
With all the excitement about the 2008 Olympic Games held in China this year I could hardly ignore the idea of using this for a Freaky Friday prompt. My thoughts were on how technology has changed the face of sport and competition, especially in recent years. There’s the split second timing involved in several events, drug testing, and other aspects I can’t even think of right now. Even coverage in the media has evolved into something more personal with cameras & sound equipment.
Write in your journal about your favourite event/s as though it is before all these progresses in technology. Write how much things have changed since you began to watch or follow the Olympic Games. Write about competing in your favourite event/s, without these advancements. Use the internet to research, if you need to, but try to use your imagination and to help see your life and your world from a different perspective. Please leave any comments in the section below.
